WMI Tool 0.1

January 30th, 2007 | Category: .NET, Tool

Found myself reviewing some WMI stuff and needing to set values and see properties and all that good stuff.  WMI Explorer got me partway there, but I still needed to set values.  Sooo… 15min later there is a small .net tool for this.  Enjoy.

Hate, love, 3g, coffee shops

January 10th, 2007 | Category: Uncategorized

Working from coffee shops has been a source of hate and discontent in my life for some time.  After finally getting a spot on some small table I find the internet connection is fully saturated by hipsters logged into MySpace.  VPN?  Hell NO!  Arrg!  Waist of time.  Back to the house it is, no social interaction for me today.  Entering from stage left is a new hspda laptop card.  I’m not convinced it will do much for me, when has the cell network ever been fast.  Rumors of speed form Asia are just that to me.  Hrmm… connected… speed test… BINGO!  Doing over 700 down, 200 up with 3 (of 5) bars, rocking the vpn, sharing my connection out to friends, and generally happy with life in the coffee shop again.

HTTP Authentication Brute Forcer

January 06th, 2007 | Category: .NET, Security, Tool

Found myself writing a simple brute forcer yesterday for windows integrated web authentication (NTLM and Kerberose) that worked over SSL.  An easy task with .NET, but was surprised when asked for a tool to do this.  Seems most of the tools out there don’t have SSL integrated (easy to fix), poor domain support, and limited Kerberos support.  Anyway’s, since others may find this simple tool of some value I figured I’d post it up on ye old blog.
